Finally got to grips with the Lulu interface and managed to grab the code for my new art book preview Images from my mind.

Thought I’d continue the publishing theme from my last post with a round up of where I am at the moment.

Firstly there is my new photo book called Images from my mind. It’s a collection of some of my art work in a photo book format. It gives a taste of what art I create and is really a fore runner to a complete set of themed art books I’m working on. Just click the Lulu icon to be taken to the book where you can preview its contents and of course buy a copy.

I’ve also created a new book along one of my favourite passtimes, that being maths. This book is a printing of Pi to 1,000,000 decimal places. I dare you to purchase and read it – it’s a very difficult book to read and take in as it consists entirely of numbers. It would make a crazy present so click the Lulu picture below and grab a copy now.

Finally I’ve taken some of my music creations and put them together on a CD for your listening pleasure. Instrumental guitar music is where I’m coming from with this release. Again the Lulu picture below will take you to the CD site. the release is called Disco noise with guitars. I hope you like it.

It had to happen at some point in time, I finally got it together and published my very own book of some of my favourite art creations.

The hardback book is an ideal Coffee Table item and has a variey of art creations themed on specific subjects.

Photographic manipulations where I take a standard photograph and manipulate it into an art piece.

Mathematical creations where I use mathematical formulas and techniques to create my art.

Digital reality where the boundary between reality and nature becomes blurred.

Reflection where the inner world of the mirrored sphere is explored.

What a great evening was had by all at the West Midlands Young Enterprise Regional final Innovation Awards. six finalists each winners from their own region competed at the Great Hall, Birmingham University.

The contenders:

Team 5 from Colton Hills Community School in the Black Country with their FUN5 product designed to get kids active.

Felicitas from St Dominic’s School in Staffordshire with their jewellery iPhone ear pieces.

More bees from St Thomas Moore Catholic School & Technology College with their Bee box to attract bees back into our gardens.

Inspired from The Royal Grammer School Worcester with their aromatherapy fan.

Fairbags from Idsall school Shropshire withe their Fair Trade cotton bags,

Smart from St Martin’s Independent School for Girls with their jewellery and cards.

As you can see a very diverse range of product offerings and each team were very capable in answering my tricky business led questions as I toured the stands as part of my role as Board member for the Birmingham area board. they were all highly motivated, confident in themselves and confident in their business planning and delivery. It was a joy to spend a couple of hours with them all.

and after some excellent presentations by all teams the winner was announced.

The winner of the Best Company Award at the Young Enterprise West Midlands Innovation Awards 2010 last night was Felicitas from St Dominic’s School in Staffordshire

Well done to Felicitas, and all the other Young Enterprise teams.
